The third instalment of a four-part digital-only series from Sheffield producers The Black Dog. Sound of Sheffield is, according to the trio, an exploration of Steel city’s heritage through dance music. True to this concept, ‘Fraction Slide’ is a propulsive body-rattling cut of techno that breaks out into a warping synth freakout midway through. ‘Rising’ takes a turn towards deep house with its ripples of chords lending the track an almost melancholic note.
