Jacking percussion and incessant upper synth notches create an irresistible jam - 'Trial Rider' is minimal in its construction yet devastating on the floor. The vocal doesn't shout "spin it backwards for nothing". Flip it over and 'Trial Rider (Ayo Bitch)' takes those elements and goes into nightmare techno territory. Those same rolling kicks and bass are compounded by haunting synth loops, dancing up and down and in and out of reverbed phase. Brutally simple, these tracks kick hard where it hurts.
