Sccucci Manucci boss James Vorres presents the latest double 12’’ selection of his London house imprint: The Nine Bows EP comes into line with the label’s history of various artists sampler, showcasing both new and established artists from the roster. And it holds a couple of enlightening discoveries. Brighton-based Aashton fulfils his opening honours with grace: atmospheric field noise stages the way for soulful vocals and vital bass movements. Very fresh also French producer Maverick who debuts with the warm ‘Wait For U’. Regular Montel accounts for another highlight on the sampler with his strong R’n’B lead on ‘Lemme Hold U’.
