Four years after its predecessor, German house monolith DJ Koze drops the third episode in his series of remix retrospectives, once again showcasing his excellent production skills. He’s releasing Reincarnations, Pt. 2 - The Remix Chapter 2009 – 2014 on his own label Pampa Records that he co-runs with Marcus Fink and that’s also housed his brilliant 2013 album Amygdala. On Amygdala he had displayed how well he works with the sounds of his collaborators – Caribou, Apparat and Ada – the remix chapters sum up the other side of the deal. It features his reworks of Dan Snaith’s ‘Found Out’ from Caribou’s 2010 album Swim, Sascha Ring’s ‘Black Water’ from Apparat’s 2011 album The Devil’s Walk and Michaela Dippel’s Faith from Ada’s 2011 album Meine zarten Pfoten, but also his skilful house reinterpretation of tracks such as Mount Kimbie’s ‘Made To Stray’ and Moderat’s ‘Bad Kingdom’.
