‘Drum Machines Do Have Soul’, claims producer Anna, based in Sao Paulo, on one of the track titles of her debut EP on Tiga’s Twin Turbo label. Judging from this trio of percussion heavy techno workouts it’s a statement we’d be inclined to agree with. On opener ‘Let Me Take You’, Anna builds on a pulsating groove by introducing swirling synth rhythms. While the aforementioned ‘Drum Machines Do Have Soul’, climaxes in a drop that sounds like a vicious swarm on the attack.
