UK duo Two Lone Swordsmen continue to fine-tune their atmospheric house and techno experiments on their third full-length for Sabres of Paradise. After the aqueous electronics of intro ‘Another Heady Cocktail’, the pair stretches out on ‘Plunge’, balmy electronica cut with lounge rhythms. The moody ‘Spin Desire’ balances late night vibes with a bouncy beat, while ‘Kicking In, Pts. 4 & 3’ demonstrate the duo’s flair for dismantling genres and crafting tight techno tools, respectively. They also approximate drum and bass on the twitchy ‘Spraycan Attack’ and jaunty, Matthew Herbert-esque micro-house on ‘Turn The Filter Off’.
