Marco records founder Stefan Goldmann’s Industry is a record with a rather intriguing concept to it. The album, released to accompany a book, explores the use of presets in electronic music: experimenting with the sounds of influential hardware such as the Korg M1, the Yamaha DX7 and the Roland 808, 909 and 303. Naturally, Industry itself has made been entirely from the presets of the aforementioned synths resulting in an album that sounds familiar while being completely unique.
