After releasing their debut back in 2009, New Zealand based duo Electric Wire Hustle are back with their second album, Love Can Prevail. Mara TK shares a number of melancholic and lovelorn tales with the characteristic warmth and soulfulness of his vocals. While Taay Ninh, who provides the backing production, mixes glitchy and fittingly cold electronic textures together with gloomy orchestral strings. While the pair’s outlook is often foreboding their experimental take on R&B is enlivening.
