Downliners Sekt return from the depths with four remixes of material taken from 'Silent Ascent'. First up is a peak-time banger from Blondes taking the aquatic vibe of 'Hors Phase' and mixing in a tough techno beat while keeping traces of Downliners trademark post-UKG flex intact. Next up Chevel takes 'This American Life' and drags it down an industrial techno wormhole, recalling the recent output of artists like AnD and the harder end of recent trax by Shifted. On the flip, Monomood takes 'Eiger Dreams' into full-on IDM mode, cascading broken drums washed away by soaring pads and distant pads before breaking away to Warp's patten who offers the highlight of the package with a tired-eyed rendition of 'Silent Ascent' lurching half-time kicks fall over themselves before the half-heard snares come drifting through the rain.
