For her sixth album, The Silver Globe, Liverpudlian singer songwriter Jane Weaver has created a post-apocalyptic chamber pop opus. Using a number of vintage synths, Weaver has created an album that is futuristic in its strangeness and yet evocative of 70s synth pioneers. The album’s narrative is, in part at least, a coming-of-age tale with a number of ill-fated encounters experienced along the way - as on ‘Don’t Take My Soul’. The Silver Globe also features a number of collaborations including guest appearances by Australian space rockers Cybotron, Suzanne Ciani and production courtesy of Andy Votel.
