Parisian Greg Hoepffner, better known as Almeeva, makes his InFine debut with his latest transmission of rich, expansive electronica. Cinematic opener ‘Soviet Superstructures’, powered by emotive synths and mammoth drum work, builds to an almost unbearable crescendo, which is then mirrored by the all-too-short ‘Parallels’, which features vocals from Hoepffner. He continues to blend the tracks and reuse elements, carving the uplifting house cut ‘Felt’ from the previous track’s guitar licks, then echoing and expanding on them on haunting closer ‘Palindromes’.
