Having already released A Young Person's Guide to the Avant-Garde, LTM Recordings are now going more in-depth, providing a thorough overview of French avant-garde music from the 20th century. The compilation spreads across 2 discs in chronological order. Staring out with founding fathers like Claude Debussy and Erik Satie before introducing the dreamlike compositions of Duchamp and Ribemont-Dessaigne which came from the Dada movement. This collection also includes a number of modern compositions some of which have been specially recorded for this release by celebrated French pianist Nicolas Horvath.
