Sonic Cathedral Records presents the follow up to New York psych artist and poet Cheval Sombre’s 2012 LP Mad Love with the Madder Love EP. Here, Sombre’s tripped-out, string-heavy affair ‘Couldn’t Do’ gets reworked by a bunch of divergent artists, starting with the prolific Justin Robertson who offers his driving, pulsating ‘Deadstock 33s’ version complete with squelching riff that’s sure to cause a riot on the ‘floor. Next, Richard Norris acts under his Time And Space Machine guise for a cosmic, tripped out version that oozes with eastern melodies whereas The Horrors’ Tom Furse shuns the beats and offers an all-involved, tantric excursion (‘Extrapolation’), swelling in size with its tambural drone into a heady tonic of new age bliss. Finally, Sombre offers his own rework of Mad Love Opener ‘Someplace Else’ with the soft and somber ‘Someplace Slow’ – a beautiful, touching duet between voice and guitar.

  1. 1 Couldn't Do (Justin Robertson's Deadstock 33s Remix) 8:03
