Warp's new signing from Canada are Born Ruffians, three guys barely out of their teens who play a kind of minimal free-form punk, syncopated with drum fills and shouts, to give their songs a strange but catchy sense of melody and structure.

Probably the catchiest track from their debut is 'Hummingbird', it's a pretty, tight, fast track you'll catch youself humming. On the B side the band commit musical incest by covering Grizzly Bear's 'Knife' track.
