New York 80s synth music label Minimal Wave compiles four solo works from Sheffield industrial legend Richard H Kirk on vinyl for the first time ever. Originally recorded between 1978 and 1987, ‘Public Fun’, ‘L.D. 60’ and ‘Magic Words Command’ reflect the experimental concepts he developed as part of the influential industrial group Cabaret Voltaire at the time. The title track combines a throbbing dance floor beat with stubborn no wave vocals and dissonant synths: it pioneered the minimal sequencer and drum sound Kirk would later come to use famously in Cabaret Voltaire.
