For this EP on Erased Tapes, London based singer songwriter Douglas Dare offers a brand new track together with two remixes of songs from his acclaimed debut, Whelm. ‘Caroline’, the EP’s opener, remains unchanged from the album version but is still as haunting as ever - an affecting and personal reflection on war and loss. ‘If Only’, a new track, is in a similar vein to the paired down instrumentals and melancholic tone of Whelm, with Dare’s echoing vocals backed by harpsichord and and glitchy electronics.
