Following an impressive run of releases, Garry McCartney aka Ejeca breaks in his newly formed Exploris imprint with an inaugural EP. The Belfast-based producer wastes very little time, firing off three no-nonsense bangers. ‘Rick Flair’, a rough-edged tech-house roller embellished with wobbling FX, hits as hard as its wrestler namesake. Follow-up ‘Skitter’ is even starker, relying solely on crisp drum work and a mechanized bass groove, and ‘Prototype’ layers hissing hats with gong-like percussion and a touch of white noise for atmosphere.
