Beatrice M. makes their debut on the Tectronic label with a new EP entitled Midnight Swim. A swimmer at heart, Beatrice uses the gentle rushing effects of water as a jumping off point to explore dubbier sounds tailormade for the wee hours on the dancefloor just as the sun peeks into the windows. The opening ‘Oval’ is anything but, as a tricky beat switches could keep even the most attuned dancers on their toes, while the steamy title track ticks the BPMs up a hair without losing the wonderfully placid vibes displayed throughout.
