Kieren Gallear, aka DELS, returns to Big Dada for his second album, Petals Have Fallen. Ultimately driven by his laconic yet assured delivery, the sound of the album is a mix of the various guests he's drawn together, with tracks produced by Bonobo and Micachu to name but two, and vocals delivered by Kerry Leatham, Rosie Lowe and more. Working with executive producer Kwes, however, he's fashioned a coherent and immersive listen. Driven by the intense visions and grandiose piano score of 'Burning Beaches', and the racial honesty of 'Fall Apart', it's a rough but invigorating album.
