Austrian musician Dorian Concept finally drops his second LP entitled Joined Ends on London-based institution Ninja Tune. After cutting back on a usually hectic touring schedule, the Austrian shifts focus from a club orientated sound to something altogether more expressive, involving and deliberate. Rich in colour, the emotionally wrought ‘Ann River, Mn’ offers weightless chimes set against searing analogue synth chords with a classy pop gloss whereas ‘Draft Culture’ sets a woozy tone and dreamy headspace – a theme that runs constant throughout the whole piece.
