On his latest EP for AUS Music, Harry Agius continues to mine his stripped back take on house. Title track ‘Duster’ is one of the best examples of Agius’s aesthetic, building a groove from minimal elements - an oscillating synth, crackling snares and a simple bass rhythm - and gradually introducing a funky melody. ‘Reflex’ sees Agius honing his ability for rhythmically dense jacking tracks. While ‘Pitch Drift’ delivers on the promise of its title with a disorientating and undulating synth midway through.
