San Francisco’s Austin Cesear follows a strong showing on Anthony Naples’ Proibito label with another killer short set for Public Information, his first work for the label since 2012. The budding young producer continues to impress with his nuanced, hazy house creations, each track deceptively simple but undeniably effective. Highlights include slow-building, skeletal house cut ‘La Paloma’, the squashed melodics of ‘Ain’t It So (Necessary)’, the lo-filtered funk of ‘Easy Bend’ and the pump-and-breathe samples of ‘Bee Free (Warlick Mix)’.
