Another incredible reissue of early blues and gospel music from Death Is Not The End, perhaps the logical follow on to their two previous compilations of prison songs. Sister Ola Mae Terrell, who died in 2006 aged 95, had a long musical career, performing and recording devotional music for 75 years. Terrell’s steel guitar provides a simple but potent backing to these age-worn recordings. But what remains apparent is the passion and fervour in the vocal performances she gives.
