Low Concept is the collaborative project of Physical Therapy's Daniel Fisher and Renaissance Man's Ville Haimala. Their debut EP Bugz comes on Jack Dixon's White Asega imprint and sets aside the highly conceptual approach of each of their individual projects. The result are two genuine 4-to-the-floor techno bangers that make no secret of their field of application: the title track gets our feet stomping with muffled lo-fi percussion and bare repetitive vocals, making out the dancing crowd to be bugs or respectively ants. 'Prick' resumes in a similarly uncompromising manner, adding tambourine and an infectious synth pattern. Alex Coulton takes away the dryness in his remix of 'Bugz', coating everything in a layer of reverb.
