Cortes specialises in creating a unique hazy ambience centred around deeply submerged bass and shimmering synth lines. His tracks are sparse but evocative: on ‘Cold City’ the heavily cushioned bassline backed by washes of synth conjures up images of neon-lit cityscapes.
