Hospital Productions, specialists in all things dark and discordant, outdo themselves with their latest titanic transmission from Dual Action. Originally available as an 8-cassette bundle, Nightmare Angels of the Expressways spans 33 tracks of ear-splitting, downright evil-sounding tech-noise slop. The New York-based producer seems to take great joy in dismantling styles, whether it’s acid on ‘Road Rage’ and ‘Aggravation’ or noxious house on ‘Wheel Locks’, drone on ‘Hood Lock’ or dub-techno on ‘Patsy’. Noise-heads will find plenty infernal noise to immerse themselves in, with practically the entire second half of the collection dedicated to Dual Action’s eviscerating noise blasts.
