The latest EP on Meda Fury comes from Oakland producer Damon Bell, who conjures up a mellow set of sun-soaked grooves. Opening cut 'Hue-Man Made' catches attention instantly, a low-slung acoustic riff rolling out into infinity accompanied by trumpet, flute and exultant Malian vocals. The beats that make up the rest of the EP's tracks are a little more irregular, with tumbling hollow drums on 'Radius', while 'Enthusiastic Minor' swells gently, layers of drums, a solid bass-line and expansive pads rising up and up.
