One of Hospital Productions’ darkest artists Lussuria returns to the imprint with his third LP of pitch-black ambient production entitled Industriale Illuminato. Regularly featuring his deathly creations on cassette, Lussuria’s austere ambient soundscapes owe as much to early industrial music as they do to the noisier output of Maurizio Bianchi and Whitehouse. Despondent voices kick off on ‘Boneblack’, augmented by rising drones and cymbal rushes with the baron, clumpy beats of ‘Petra Marina’ and unsettling, tumbling drums of ‘Venus In Retrograde’ closely following. ‘Daughters Of The Enemies’ brings in some ear piecing screeching to accompany the mechanical rhythm whereas ‘Art Of Venus’ orbits and flutters whilst trying to communicate a garbled message.
