Objekt’s releases may come far and few between but they never disappoint. Hypnagogia is a two-track split between the Berlin producer and Gerald Donald’s (of Drexciya) legendary electro project Dopplereffekt. The latter’s contribution on the A side, ‘Delta Wave’ is characteristically Drexciyan techno, its oscillating chords backed by vocal harmonies and unsettling rushes of string. ‘Ganzfeld’ on the B side is a groove heavy take on techno driven by an off-kilter rhythm and a playful funk synth line that begs to be heard on a club sound system.
