Few albums feature cover art as classy and mysterious as that of Lewis’s Romantic Times. A follow up to the mysterious L’Amour, a privately press record from 1983, plucked from obscurity and rereleased by Light In the Attic last year. This second album has an equally enigmatic backstory: apparently only two original copies are currently known to exist. Lewis’s languid synth backed vocals sound far more melancholic on Romantic Times, somewhere between the otherworldliness of Scott Walker’s later work and Julie Cruise’s haunting classic Floating Into The Night.
