Glasgow-based newcomer Inkke drops his first EP on London’s Local Action. After being featured on Big Dada’s Grime 2.0 compilation and a full-length debut on Astral Black earlier this year, he further refines his style on the Crystal Children EP, with his grime influences becoming more apparent. His cold production aesthetics open up worlds of associations. Inkke’s unpredictable use of percussion keeps us on the edge. Paradise features vocals from Julia Juban, which get reworked by JT The Goon over oriental instrumentation. Gage takes on ‘Thinkk Star’ in a remix, speeding up the original’s airy percussion.
