Following his Higher Electronic State single, Death In Vegas’ Richard Fearless readies his second EP for his own London-based Drone imprint. Proceeding with his nocturnal style of minor key staccato synths, ‘Gamma Ray’ has a dramatic feel to it. Fearless’ syncopation creates unrelieved tension, with his juxtaposed melodies seemingly competing with each other. The remix comes from no less a figure than the legendary Legowelt, reinforcing the beat with humming bass notes, building up hypnotic density in the lower frequency ranges.
