Anchorsong builds on his burgeoning reputation - off the back of some much lauded live sets and an album on Brighton's Tru Thoughts - with a new EP of grainy, drums and sampling on the BBE label. Rattling African-inspired rhythms abound on the title track which keep on growing in intensity, while the gently stirring marimba and dreamy ambience of 'Flamingos' show another side to the producer. The flurrying percussive house of 'Ivory' is truly sublime, while 'Mantra' shows off some deep sub-bass action while still sounding light on its feet.
