Hohokum, Honeyslug’s whimsical Playstation explorer, gets the soundtrack treatment from Ghostly International. The colourful score grew from a playlist the game’s creators used as inspiration during development, and was initially based around four pieces from San Francisco-based producer Scott Hansen aka Tycho. Hansen, himself a visual artist, imbues ‘L’, ‘A Walk’, ‘Coastal Brake’ and ‘Send and Receive’ with characteristically warm textures and propulsive rhythms. Joining him are Ghostly acts Matthew Dear, Shigeto and Com Truise, as well as Michna and Kiln, who contribute instrumentals that range from gently pulsing electronica to funky beats and ambient.
