Heisenberg is the collaborative duo made up of Finnish producer Vladislav Delay (also known as Sasu Ripatti) and Max Loderbauer, of NSI and Moritz Von Oswald Trio fame. Their second release on Ripatti’s self-named ‘studio diary’ label sees the pair delve further into a world of sonic improvisation and experimentation. This is obscure and esoteric music, not for the faint of heart or interest. ‘#2’ is made up of rattling, pounding percussion that meets repetitious stabs at melody, rhythmic patterns and time signatures clashing and falling in deadly phase. ‘#6’ is an even stranger beast, pummelling kicks and upward-moving melodies offset by an almost tongue-in-cheek melody that snarls in its insouciance.
