A year after its original release, John Talabot reissues Pional’s ‘It’s All Over’ with a number of remixes on his Hivern Discs imprint. The marvellously melodious single is worked around delicate, soulful vocals, reverb echoing into the spacious production, the minimal beat and minor harmonies nodding to '90s trip hop. The label boss himself offers two versions of the original. John Talabot makes the beat stumble in his ‘Stripped Refix’, while the slow buildup of his ‘Stormbreak Refix’ sees him imposing his characteristic style on the track. Belgian producer Locked Groove presents a more ambient, dense take on the single, and Pional’s own reinterpretation bulks up the bass and synths.
