The mysterious Poshgod drops some filthy electro for Trax Couture. Think 80s Miami, rather than mid-00s distortion, searing drum-machine workouts and electronic cowbells coming together in sparse percussive patterns. 'Juicy Chocolate' kicks things off with orgasmic cries and juddering bass, a sensuous template set for what's to follow. The muggy swamp of 'Akira Drift' evokes 'House of God', as vocal samples are chopped indiscriminately. 'Tittytron' would fit right in next to anything by Model 500 or 2 Live Crew, while 'Dancin' 'n' Shit' apes the Dance Mania canon, with lewd vocals and heady pianos combining under a sweaty, rain-soaked soundscape. A modern take on a classic sound that somehow manages to bring something new to this well worn table.
