UK bass technician Skeptical makes his Tempa debut with this latest pair of rollers. ‘Echo Dub’, a deep dubstep tune quite unlike anything we’ve heard from the drum & bass producer, will certainly have his name ringing amongst dubstep and grime traditionalists. Slowing down to approximately 140bpm, he carves an airtight tool out of throbbing sub-bass, ghostly vocal samples and intricate, tribal percussion. Flip-side ‘Chain Reaction’ holds the tempo, swapping in slow wobbling bass and crisp half-time drums for a more menacing mood.
