Murlo presents an EP of deft instrumental grime for relatively new, and very promising, Irish label Glacial Sound. Title track 'Last Dance' moves through dextrous arpeggios and flitting strings, a bright take on the more often than not dark grime aesthetic. 'Velvet Wall' and 'Robes' lurch with the same lightness of touch, strings flailing gracefully around tough, flexing bass-lines. Swing Ting's remix of 'Robes' drives the track in a tunnelling, club-centric direction. Slackk's remix is the winner though, reigning in the beat and stitching together a thick, undulating production.
