It's funny how like the Broadcast Future Crayon record, a collection of rarities and b-sides from a band often turns out to be its best album and the collection here is probably the best To Rococo Rot album.

With the sublime lo-fi shimmering electronics and guitars of 'Mit Dir in der Gegend' things start off in an incredible way, as this track is surely their most beautiful and crowning moment. Followed by Autonachmittag, produced by Move D and sounding like 'Neu' in heaven. The album follows through several states and musical transitions, from shiny electronic pop to post rock bolstered by electro-acoustic and Musique Concrete ideas, as well as warm Detroit and European techno, jazz experimentation, it's an absorbing and great listen.
