George Fitzgerald offers UK producer Shenoda another outing on his excellent ManMakeMusic imprint with the Who Ver EP. The diverse EP sees the producer dredging up old influences and adapting them for today’s environment. First off is the title cut ‘Who Ver?’ - a bass heavy arrangement with a UK garage tinge and muffled vocal chops whereas ‘Schooled’ crafts a more euphoric mood with its chords rising like stream and heavy low-end undercurrent. Finally, ‘Yorkie’ is the toughest of the lot, building on a rock-steady drum layer with chord stabs and probing bass wobbles.
