Eric Copeland, a member of Black Dice and one half of Terrestrial Tones (the other being Animal Collective's Avey Tare), remixes Dead Oceans signings Dub Thompson, contorting the duo's taught punk into kaleidoscopic shapes. The rough post-punk strut of 'Dograces' is entirely reconfigured into a loping, low-slung production, guitars unfurling with loose ease before the whole thing completely changes direction and morphs into a scorched, dubbed out epic. 'Invoice' is similarly unpredictable - and brilliant for it - a bent-out-of-shape and endearingly ramshackle mix of bouncing bass, faraway voices and raw noise-making. Two remixes that make something entirely far out from the raucous punk spirit of the original tracks.
