Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Guillotine is the joint project of Saulo Pais (Dada Attack) and Zeno Mainardi. Here they present their debut release in collaboration with Netherlands-based acid imprint 030303. Utilising an extensive analogue setup, the duo riffle through three cuts of raw, searing, hardware experiments. Off first is the title cut ‘National Razor’ which revolves around some stocky drum programming that drips with slashing synth interference followed by the similarly harsh technoid chug of ‘Bastard Prince’. Finally the pair wrap up with the most abrasive of the lot in ‘Giant Steps’ with a constantly mutating groove and slashing noise leading the way.
