Norwegian duo Pjusk, made up of Jostein Dahl Gjelsvik and Rune Andre Sagevik, release their fourth album, their third on 12k, in the shape of Solstøv. A harmonic world of icy, glacial rifts and emotive drone, it's a beautiful piece of work, perfectly evocative of the landscape of their native country. Building the album around a series of trumpet samples, natural and distorted, that sit over soundscapes that are allowed to drift and undulate, the duo have captured a sound that is serenely appealing and gripping in its composition.
