Krautrock in the modern age, as Faust's Jochen Irmler and Can's Jaki Liebzeit combine for six organ and percussion improvisations. Preparing for concerts in slaughterhouses and theatres, the pair called a halt to rehearsals and recorded Flut, an effort to explore the interplay between the respective instruments. Virtuoso jams meet prepared organ lines, sonic wizardry meeting musical innovation and almost telepathic communication. Recorded in a blistering series of non-stop sessions across three days, Flut is blindingly hypnotic, enthralling and impressive.
