London duo We The Wild return with their second EP for Super Recordings. Picking up where Vol. 1 left off, members Ant West and Casey Roarty continue to fine-tune their brand of moody, textural pop. Energetic opener ‘Glow’ mixes guitar and driving, live-sounding drum work with warm keys, while the throbbing production of ‘Paper Plane’ gradually builds to an emotional crescendo. Lead single ‘Trampoline’ and ‘Mercury’ both benefit from big, bonafide hooks and production that straddles the line between commercial and experimental sensibilities.
