Three heavyweights tackle 'Lovers' Eyes (Mohe Pi Ki Najariya)', the first collaboration between Damian Lazarus and The Ancient Moons. First up is Carl Craig who turns in a suitably epic 10-minute rework. Stretching the soaring vocal and tribal drums across its length, the Detroit man adds a snarling buzz of chords and transatlantic radio blips. Willie Burns takes a series of vocal riffs and replays them at length over chopped basslines and crisp claps. SIS is similarly choppy with the vocals, but goes full tribal, adding plodding bass and flighty chords that are imbued with real emotional weight.
