UK duo Cloud Boat return on Apollo with full-length Model Of You, the follow up to Book Of Hours. The fact that it has been produced by Andy Savours (My Bloody Valentine, Sigur Ros, The Horrors) should give some indication as to the ambition with which Cloud Boat have tackled their second album. It's a far more assured set of tracks than their debut, as first becomes evident in the vaulting, stadium aspiring 'Hideaway'. Their dubstep / folk / post-rock fusion works well on 'Portraits Of Eyes', elegiac guitar underlaid with pattering electronics. 'The Glow' is perhaps the highlight here, singer Tom Clarke extolling passionately over rushing, soulful waves of drums and spacious noise.
