Chicago house figurehead Mark Grusane dips into the vault for this extra special cassette out on London label Death Is Not The End. The Witch Is Back (High School Party Promo Mix '1992) is actually among a series of promotional mixes Grusane and his high school crew put together to help build hype for basement parties they threw around the Chicago area in the early 90s. A gifted DJ with a deep bag even as a teen, this mix drifts between the tried and true Midwest classics we now know and love and some of the earliest, more minimal European imports that were just starting to land stateside at the time of these recordings.
