Kompakt co-founder Wolfgang Voigt readies a new collection of material under his own name with Rückverzauberung 9 out on Kompakt sub label Profan. Released as part of a sound installation in collaboration with an exhibition at the Haus Der Kulturen in Berlin, Rückverzauberung 9 is a five-part collection of ambient loops that focus on an interplay of processed brass notes that seem to be drifting off to infinity. There’s a strong krautrock feel to each of the pieces, with the slight variation across each section adding to its overall perpetual trajectory.
